Therusha holds an LL.B degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an LL.M in Labour Studies, cum laude, from the same institution. She was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the High Court of South Africa in 2021.

She completed her articles of clerkship at a Durban-based law firm, gaining experience across litigation, debt recovery, banking and finance, commercial, and labour law. Therusha thereafter practised as an Associate at a boutique firm, where she further developed her expertise in litigation, debt recovery, and banking and finance matters.

Therusha joined Cox Yeats in 2026 as a member of the Insolvency and Business Rescue team. Her practice focuses on banking and finance, with experience in insolvency and business rescue proceedings, and a particular emphasis on debt recovery and litigation.
