Alastair Hay joined Cox Yeats in 1977, became a partner in 1980, and is now the senior consultant of the firm. He has extensive experience in construction, engineering, and infrastructure law, advising clients across both the public and private sectors.
Recognised for many years by Best Lawyers for his expertise in Construction Law, Alastair continues to play a prominent role in shaping legal standards within the industry. He is also a Life Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa), an honour awarded in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to the Association.
Alastair has served as a commissioner in the Small Claims Court for 38 years, reflecting his deep commitment to access to justice and public service.
