Alastair Hay is a Consultant at Cox Yeats and the firm’s Senior Consultant, with extensive experience in Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Law.
He joined the firm in 1977 and became a Partner in 1980. Alastair has advised clients across both the public and private sectors on a wide range of construction and infrastructure matters and is widely recognised for his depth of experience in the field.
He has been recognised for many years by Best Lawyers for his expertise in Construction Law and is a Life Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa), in recognition of his longstanding contribution to the profession.
Alastair has also served as a Commissioner in the Small Claims Court for over three decades, reflecting his ongoing commitment to public service and access to justice.
